Pecan pie



Christmas is about to come and people may be busy regarding its arrangement. Christmas is a holiday, which is generally observed on December 25, to commemorate the birth of Jesus,who was the central figure of Christianity .Its the only festival ,which is widely celebrated in the whole world. This Day is celebrated as a major festival and public holiday in countries around the world, these includes many countries where population is mostly non-Christian. Colonial rule introduced this festival in its colonoies. But after Independence also, many countries continue celebrating  this festival because people in these countries like the basic theme of christmas which include, exchanging gifts, thanks-giving, decorations,etc. In many Catholic countries, the people hold religious processions or parades in the days preceding Christmas. In rest of the countries, secular processions or parades featuring Santa Claus and other seasonal figures are often held. A special Christmas family meal is traditionally and important part of the celebration of this day. Now pecan pie is also a popular  dish which is served on Christmas Eve. Pecan pie is a sweet pie which is made up of primarily corn syrup and pecan nuts.

RECIPE OF PECAN PIE:-
 
Ingredients-
¤1 9-inch pie shell, frozen or chilled for atleast an hour if freshly made.
¤1 1/4 cups pecans, coarsely chopped.
¤2 eggs, slightly beaten.
¤1 cup light corn syrup.1/4 cup brown sugar.
¤ 1 Tbsp molasses.
¤2 Tbsp melted butter.
¤2 Tbsp flour .
¤1/4 teaspoon salt .
¤1 teaspoon vanilla.
Method-
         1.First of all preheat the oven to 375°F. Spread handfull of pecans along the bottom of the pie shell. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over pecans.The pecans will then rise to the surface of the pie.
2.Bake the shell at 375°F for 40-45 minutes until the filling has set. About 20 minutes during the cooking you may need to use a pie crust protector, or tent the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil,in order to prevent the pie crust edges from burning.
3.Now remove from the oven, let cool completely and then serve. Pecan pie is ready to eat.
        You can do a lot of innovation while preparing a pecan pie. Serving it with whipped cream will give it more rich look.
