I think you are very familiar with the title the wall (Rahul Dravid). He is named as The Wall because whenever the team India is struggling he becomes the hope of India, and he has proved many times. But now you will never see Dravid on the ground in blue dress, and his performance indicates that he has a very cool and calm  nature. This is the picture when he is leaving the ground after a well made 69 against England. He is a very cool and recognized batsman try to bat till the end of innings.

Rahul Sharad Dravid was born in Jan 1973 in Indore Madhya Pradesh. His childhood  name was jammy,He started playing cricket at the age of 12 .He was playing such good cricket that after some time he was a part of under 15 and under 17 at state level. Thereafter he was selected for ranji trophy in Feb. 1991.then his international carrier was started. His ODI debut was in Singapore against Sri Lanka in 1995-96. His best knock was 153 against New Zealand in Hyderabad in 1999.As the time passes on he reaches to a new mile stone. Here it is the ODI carrier of Rahul Dravid.

ODI carrier of Rahul Dravid

Matches: 344,

Rahul Dravid in his whole carrier contributed 14 man of the matches, which I think is really very big achievement for him. Especially that knock of 92 runs of just 63 balls against England in 2007.
Some achievements of Dravid
After scoring the maximum runs(461) in the 1999 world cup. Then he was picked as the vice captain  of the team then in the next world cup in 2003 he was there with two different roles in the team that is  the two different roles are wicket keeping  and the vice captaincy.
•    Dravid was awarded as Padma Sri  by the government of India in 2004.
•    He is the third person to score more number of half centuries.
•    He has scored 10,889 runs in ODI cricket.
•    In 2003 vice captaincy of India.
In 2007 he was named as captain of Indian cricket team.
And then that day came Friday 16th Sep 2011 the last match of Dravid’s ODI carrier the match was against England at Sophia Gardens. He made a well deserved 69 in 79 balls a very good partnership with Virat Kohli then soon the last ball of Dravid carrier comes and he was shattered when he was bowled by Swann.
