Bradley was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he grew up in nearby Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Cooper's mother, Gloria (née Campano), is an Italian-American, and his father, Charles J. Cooper, was Irish-American and he used to work as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch. Bradley Cooper was raised as Catholic. Bradley, after graduating from Germantown Academy in 1993, attended Villanova University for his freshman year. Cooper was then transferred to Georgetown University, from which he graduated with an honors BA in English in 1997. Bradley Cooper got married to actress Jennifer Esposito in 2006. But in May 2007, the news came out that Esposito had filed for divorce. In September 2010, it was reported that Bradley and actress Renée Zellweger were dating each other for over an year. Later, on March 18, 2011, the couple declared that they have ended their relationship. Bradley Cooper began his professional career on the television series Sex and the City, which was broadcasted in 1999, and he also served as a presenter for Globe Trekker. Cooper's debut movie was Wet Hot American Summer in 2001.
