Frank Miller

Frank Miller, the great comic artist ,was born on  January 27, 1957,in Olney, Maryland. He is an American comic book artist, writer and a film director. He is best known for his dark, film noir-style comic book stories and graphic novels Ronin, Daredevil: Born Again, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City and 300. Frank Miller also directed the film version of The Spirit, he shared directing duties with Robert Rodriguez on Sin City and also produced the film 300.Frank Miller grew up in Montpelier, Vermont, he was fifth of the seven children of a nurse mother and a carpenter/electrician father. Frank Miller's  family was Irish Catholic. In race to become an artist, Frank Miller received his first published work at Western Publishing's Gold Key Comics , on the licensed TV-series comic book The Twilight Zone making the story "Royal Feast" in issue no.84 which released on June 1978, and "Endless Cloud" in issue no.85 released on July 1978.Frank Miller's work has often been met with positive as well as negative reception. Daredevil: Born Again and The Dark Knight Returns were both a great success, and Batman: Year One was met with even greater praise for its gritting style. Most of his previous work like Ronin, 300 and Sin City were very-very successful. However,Frank Miller's later work mostly has been met with criticism. His work,Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again received mixed to negative reviews. All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder was particularly met with harsh criticism. Beside of the comic and political circuit, Miller's influences includes art historian Kenneth Clark, and the animation by Fleischer Studios. Most of Frank Miller's work has been accused for lacking humanity. But now days, Frank Miller is again in news but this time for  reason apart from his work. Occupy Wall Street is being in news because here protestors have been using bicycles to generate electricity in Zuccotti Park since & soon after gas-powered generators were removed two weeks ago. During the past two months, many celebrities have voiced their support for the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement. But Sin City director Frank Miller is definitely not one of those celebrities. Last Monday, Frank Miller went to his blog to post his thoughts about Occupy Wall Street and it seems a feud is about to get really ugly . Miller addressed the protestors as “losers” and demanded those protectors to “go back to your mommas’ basements and play with your Lords of Warcraft”. This statement of Frank Miller has created a controversy. What to call this incident, a publicity stunt or just a way to express one's feeling? But Frank Miller should understand that this is definitely not the right way to express his feeling......

'Well,by taking in context Miller's last releases we advice Frank to concentrate more on his work and less on these type of controversy. And if he has to indulge in news than he must comment in favour of these protestants, so that he can gain some importance.'
