In this movie a timeless Love Story turns to be an endless episode. The story starts in early 90s when Aayat leaves her home in Kashmir and shifted to Punjab. Village boy Harry falls in love with Aayat but the destiny has some different plans. Post the Babri Masjid demolition, Aayat relocated to an unknown place. Destiny reunites after 7 years in Scotland when Harry has became an Air Force pilot. Unfortunately because of Kargil war they again separated and Harry was summoned in the line of duty. Now they both are unable to trace each other & then pine for each other for years. Until they cross paths during subsequent misfortunate incidents of 9/11 attacks and Godhra riots. However the pain of separation when the couple drifts apart of the first time is not as actually felt. Through they reunite after a gap of 7 years; cinematically it’s just the next scene without an interim. Undoubtly mausam is marred by its unrelenting length &could have been much crisper,considring what it actually serves in its three hour run time is too shallow in comparison.Mausam starts off with the pleasant freshness of any new season but stretches so long that you earn for the onset of the next season.
An important thing about this movie is that its original released date is on 16 Sep 2011 but due to the delay in obtaining the N.O.C from the I.A.F, it was pushed back farther by a weak.
Today many of us watched the probably most awaited movie of 2011; Mausam. This movie made us laugh, smile &cry all at the same time. It had emotions, epic romance, humor, great music, nice locations. This movie tought us that the lovers do not lose hope & desperately search for each other though in vain.
