Many events are being celebrated in different parts of India including Pongal which is the harvest festival celebrated for four days in a region named ‘Tamil Nadu’ which is the southern state of India. Pongal is one of the most important and very much popular festivals of Hindus. The basic concept of this festival is to thank nature. It has originated from a Tamil word having mean ‘to boil’. According to Tamil calendar this festival falls in the month of "Thai" which is normally during the English calendar months of January or February. ·         Venn Pongal: It is one of the most delicious varieties of Pongal recipe. Its ingredients are:

Ingredients

Raw Rice 1 and a 1/2 cup

Moong dal 1/2 cup

Black Peppercorns 1teaspoon

Cumin seeds1 teaspoon

Ghee 2 tablespoon

Finely chopped ginger 1/2 teaspoon

Cashew nuts 5nos

Curry Leaves 8 to 10

Salt 3/4 teaspoon

How to Prepare Venn Pongal:

First Wash the rice and Moong Dal. Put them together in a cooker. Add about 5 cups of water in it. Now pressure cook it for around 8 minutes. In the meantime, coarsely grind the pepper and cumin seeds separately then Chop the cashew in pieces and fry in a little oil till they give a beautiful golden. After 8 minutes, release the pressure of the cooker and mash the rice and dal together with the help of wooden spoon. Then Add pepper, cumin powder, cashew, ginger, curry leaves, salt and remaining ghee to the rice and mix them well to make a great mixture. Now the dish is ready. Serve it beautifully by garnishing some hara Dhaniya on it.

BUSINESSMAN MOVIE REVIEW

The Indian film industry is growing very fast. It has revived its excellence by making another Telugu version of the movie named “Business Man” . This film is co-written and directed by a famous personality of Indian film industry i.e. Puri Jagannadh. The cast of the film includes: Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal. They are playing the lead roles in the film. This film started its shooting from September 2011 and got release on January 11th, 2012.

Businessman is a production of RR Movie Makers. The caption of the movie is “Guns don’t need agreements” reflects that it must be an action movie. The Muhurtham of the shot was picturised in July 2011 but due to some delay the regular shooting started a month after. It has been found from few internal sources that Shruti Hassan was selected for the female lead role, but later Kajal Aggarwal has been finalized for the movie. This is the first experience for Kajal Aggarwal acting with Mahesh Bahu in a lead role. From the caption and the wallpapers it is proved that this film is a real action thriller.
The other Cast of the movie includes Raza Murad, Dharmavarapu, Prakash Raj, Subramanyam, Jahangir Khan, Bharath Reddy, Brahmaji, Sayaji and Shinde.

Bill Moyers was born on 5^th of June in 1934. He is an American and works as a journalist and also as a public commentator. In past he served as a White House Press Secretary under the administration of President Lyndon B. Johnson for the time period between 1965 and 1967. He not only worked as a news commentator on Television for ten years but also has great involvement with public television in respect of producing documentaries, news journal program that’s why he not only give criticism on United States media but also become a well renowned trenchant critic.

 Bill Moyers has been President of Schumann Center for Media and Democracy. In spite of many of the work of Bill Moyers he is a very good speaker. His determination and grip on the subject and his behavior while delivering the speech is matchless. He is a great journalist and has a good command on presidential issues like we can watch one of his video related to comments towards President Obama. 

NANBAN MOVIE STORY

NANBAN is a movie being released on 12^th January 2012. It is a Tamil version of block buster bollywood hit 3 IDOITS. The movie is made at the same pattern which is full of fun, entertainment, knowledge, twists, emotions, great music and a message for young generation. Nanban is no doubt running very successful making it worth seeing again and again.

Its cast includes: Srikanth, Vijay, Sathyaraj, Iileana, Sathyan and others. It is directed by Shankar. The music director of Nanban is Harris Jayaraj. It is the production of Gemini Film Circuit. The cast and the whole crew have really made it a real hit by doing a great business in just few days.

The story of Nanban starts as a flashback. Srikanth named Venkata Ramakrishan in the movie revises his past memories starting from his ragging at his engineering college. He was ordered to dance in his underwear by his seniors. 

Then comes the entry of Panchavan Aka Pappu (Vijay) in a great musical background. Panchavan is also being targeted by the seniors but gets success in escaping from the ragging.
Sathyaraj who is the principal of college has been well known among students as Virus. He is a great scholar believes greatly in handwork and success. He is a man of success, who promotes his students toward a hard and struggled life. After meeting Panchavan, Virus got a new seek that life is not a name of running towards success, it is a name of excellence. The movie has a lot more reasoning behind making Satharaj convinced of Panchavan’s view of life. As happens in every movie, the Nanban movie story also includes some love section between Panchavan and RIA (Ileana) daughter of Satharaj.

The story moves around Srikanth, Panchavan, and Jeeva. Shankar has not changed much in the version to keep its originality intact. It’s a great movie and everyone should watch it even if he has seen 3 Idiots many times.

But there is still reason for hope, if we think there are several million species of living organisms that are not yet classified .Although most of these species are insects and germs , there is nothing to exclude completely the existence of flying reindeer that Santa is however the only one seen so far .

Chennai, Nov 26 (TruthDive): Kolaveri Di is the Tamil song with nonsensical lyrics that came out just eight days ago has got 4,052,189 hits on YouTube and the fan following of the song includes the young and the old, the commoner and the celebrity. “Kolaveri Di” seems on a record-breaking spree.This song was released on YouTube on Nov 16. On Thursday evening, the song notched up to 3,020,014 hits on YouTube, and surprisingly the count then spiralled to 4,052,189 by Friday noon.
Being a funny, nonsense Tanglish (Tamil and English) song it had over 4 million hits on YouTube and over 8.2 million links shared on Facebook. This song Indeed, a spectacular hit.
The song is sung by Tamil star Dhanush for his film “3″, the film is directed by his wife Aishwarya,who is the daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. ' Kolaveri - Di 'has been composed by 18-year-old Anirudh Ravichander.
The craze for the song has not only caused waves in the south, the craze of the song has caused all-India frenzy. National TV channels have carried stories about the song’s popularity. The song will also have the distinction, being the first Tamil song to be premiered on a national music channel, MTV, on Thursday.

KYLE ORTAN

Kyle Orton or Kyle Raymond Orton was born on November 14, 1982. Kyle is an American football quarterback who is currently placed on waivers. Orton was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He used to play college football at Purdue. Kyle attended Southeast Polk High School in Runnells, Iowa, where he also participated in basketball, tennis, and track and many other. At the end of Kyle's high school career, he was the No. 2 ranked QB in the nation by Super Prep and No. 7 by Rivals.com. Kyle earned honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference his senior year, after completing 95 of 192 attempts, 1,366 yards with 12 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. Kyle Orton wore uniform No. 18 in honor of former Nebraska Cornhuskers' quarterback Brook Berringer who died in a plane crash in 1996.

 

Kyle Orton grew up as a Husker fan, but chose to attend a program with a stronger passing attack. He tied former Purdue quarterback Drew Brees' record for number of passing yards in a game, and is the only Purdue quarterback to start four consecutive bowl games. Orton started his career in the 2001, '02 and '04 Sun Bowl, and the 2003 Capital One Bowl. During Ortan's undergrad years at Purdue, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. In 2005 NFL season, he rushed into the Bears starting lineup as a rookie after a preseason injury to starter Rex Grossman, and the poor play of Chad Hutchinson. Kyle Orton started 15 games of the season, however was replaced by Grossman after halftime during the Bears' Week 15 victory against the Atlanta Falcons. Following in the 2005 season, the Bears signed veteran Brian Griese as the team’s second string quarterback. Orton was now demoted; he became the Bears’ third-string quarterback, and did not see any playtime throughout the entire 2006 season. He made his first start in nearly two seasons on December 17, 2007 against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bears lost the game 20-13 and Orton finished with 22 completions on 38 attempts, 184 yards, and 1 interception. Orton improved in the final two games of the season, leading the Bears to two consecutive victories, passing for 294 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception. On February 25, 2008 the Orton and Bears agreed to a one-year contract extension running through the 2009 season. Orton then entered the 2011 season as the starting quarterback. Orton threw 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions as the starter, accumulating 979 yards. Orton has gone from Jay Cutler’s replacement to Tim Tebow’s backup in his unemployment line. Kyle Orton, the quarterback who was handed the Broncos’ starting job in training camp only to lose it to Tim Tebow after five games, has been waived 22nd Nov. It’s really going to be an interesting Thanksgiving in the Orton's house, as he'll wait to see where his NFL career will pick up — and whether he could find himself going from Tebow’s backup to a starter on a team that’s fighting for a spot in the playoffs.

Cranberry sauce

Cranberry sauce is a kind of relish made with cranberries and sugar. Mostly Americans associate it with the holiday of Thanksgiving, when cranberry sauce is offered with the traditional turkey, but it can be made at any time of the year. In addition to pairing with turkey, cranberry sauce can also be eaten with other roast meats, and some people also enjoy layering it within sandwiches.

 

Cranberry Sauce Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 cup (200 g) sugar
1 cup (250 mL) water
4 cups(1 12-oz package) fresh or frozen cranberries
Optional Pecans, orange zest, raisins, currants, blueberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice.
METHOD
1 Wash and pick over cranberries. In a saucepan bring to a boil water and sugar, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries, return to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst.
2 At this point you can add all number of optional ingredients. We typically mix in a half a cup of roughly chopped pecans with or without a few strips of orange zest. You can add a cup of raisins or currants. You can add up to a pint of fresh or frozen blueberries for added sweetness. Spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg or allspice can be added too.

3 Remove from heat. Cool completely at room temperature and then chill in refrigerator. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
